Dips are often underestimated and mostly considered as an option. While there is a lot of people who feel this way. Others believe that dips can actually turn any average tasting food into a delicious meal. For example, your favorite Caesar salad is incomplete without Worcestershire sauce and your bowl of nachos will just be a sad pile unless dipped in some salsa or creamy guacamole.
I belong to the latter category. I think dips are the most brilliant creations. I’m one of those people who always ask for all the free dips after an order. So, if you are like me and are looking for some ideas for sauces to serve at your party or for your everyday meal. I have a list of 6 dips that will go perfectly with your food. And takes no more than 10 minutes to prepare.

Sweet and Spicy Barbeque

Sweet and spicy combinations are the best. And a spicy barbeque sauce will give you the perfect amount of kick and sweetness at the same time. It’s just a mix-all recipe and takes just 5 minutes. And you can control the sweet and spice level as per your taste.
All you need is some ketchup, Tobasco or sriracha sauce, apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, salt, brown sugar and olive oil. Put all your ingredients in a pan and stir it for 4 to 5 minutes. Let it cool and serve with some potato salad or fried chicken.
Feta and Cream Cheese
If you have a blender you can make as many different dips as you like. Including this Feta and cream cheese dip. It makes for a refreshing dip that you can keep on eating without guilt. Because it’s healthy. All you need is some feta cheese, low-fat cream cheese, garlic, lemon juice oil and 5 minutes. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend it until you get the consistency you like. Garnish the dip with some diced cucumbers, tomatoes and parsley leaves. Place it in the fridge for at least 2 hours and then serve with crackers or pita bread.
Pizza Queso
Who doesn’t love a nice cheese pull? And it gets even better when you can do it every time you dip your chip. Pizza queso is meant for just this along with a delicious taste. Here’s how you make it.

Take some cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle them with olive oil and salt and roast in the oven. Then mix some cream cheese and parmesan ( you can add other types of cheese if you like) in a bowl. Add some herbs like basil and thyme, oregano and the roasted tomatoes in the mixture. Place the mixture in a baking dish, sprinkle it with grated parmesan and place in the oven for 30 minutes.

Pumpkin Seed Guacamole

You must be aware of the classic guacamole. If you love it, then try adding some pumpkin seeds for a very satisfying, slightly spicy, Pumpkin Seed Guacamole. Along with ripe Avocados, you need some roasted pumpkin seeds. If you couldn’t grab some roasted seeds them roast them yourself. It’s very easy.
Now, take your trusty blender and add peeled avocados, roasted pumpkin seeds, diced onion, garlic, jalapeno, lime juice and seasoning as per taste. Blend it until smooth and serve with some bread or tortillas.
Bean Salsa

Get creative with salsa by adding some beans. You can use red or black beans and even some chickpeas if you like. Take a big bowl and add the beans, chopped green onion, cilantro, corn, diced tomatoes, Jalapenos, lime juice and seasoning as per taste. Toss them and that’s it. Your bean salsa is ready to be served.
Layered Dip

If you can’t settle on one of these recipes, then just combine them. Yes. you read that right. If you have some time at your hand or wish to be a little more fancy with your food. Consider making a 7 layer dip. And as the name suggests, it has layers of all your favorite dips. Layer your dips like guacamole, fried beans, cream cheese, salsa etc. on top of each other and serve them with chips or tortillas. There are several recipes that lets you play with different dips and make as many layers as you like.
